Stitch Freak

It's been too long since I blogged last. I'm finding this new Blogger to be a pain, I have to add the photos before I write the text not after like I'm used to. I don't think Blogger should be taking that decision for me. And it took me a few tries to figure out that this was the problem. If I add the photos after I write the text it doesn't publish and I just get an error message and get thrown out of Blogger.com and can't access it for an hour or so. Well, maybe not that long but it feels that long when you got something you want to post and everything disappears. Yeah, that's the worst thing, everything you've done goes out the window and nothing sticks, it's not even saved! And you can't save coz you added the photos after the writing part.

There are other issues I'm having but this is the one that bugs me the most and makes me not wanna post. Well, that and I don't have anything to blog about. I haven't picked up a needle in who knows how long, I've been feeling blue and restless. I hope it's going to pass coz I have that Winter Wonderland Exchange to finish and finish :-)

Wow, I can't believe I haven't posted in that long. The reason for this mini-hiatus is mainly lack of stitching time. Despite that I have found a design for the Winter Wonderland Exchange on SBEBB. It's a very beautiful design, if I say so myself, and I hope my parter agrees. The exchange is secret so I can't show you pictures. I guess you'll just have to be patient.. I hope to finish the stitching part next week sometime, that is if I find some more time to stitch.

Because I've started stitching the exchange piece I have put Winter Queen back down but I don't think her rest this time is gonna be as long as last time she went down for a nap. I've been having too much fun stitching her and I can't wait till I see her next time.

This weekend I've spent my time rearranging furniture in my apartment and while doing so I did a little rearranging in my stitching stash.. I had a dresser that wasn't being used very efficiently so I decided to make that my stash dresser. It's now in my new stitching/computer room. I have my most comfy chair there with the floor lamp and it's so cozy in there. I haven't really tested out my new stitching corner but I've sat there and imagined how awesome this is gonna be and I can't wait to get busy there :-)

I've also spent some time this week drooling over new designs on ONS. I particularly like Little House Needlework's Chocolate Shoppe. I would love to see that design all stitched up in my little kitchen. I must remember to update my wishlist sometime soon. There are so many other designs I've been coveting lately so my wishlist is kinda out of date.. The designs on the list are still valid but I haven't updated it in ages..

I sincerely hope you all had a wonderful New Year's Celebration and nobody stumbled too hard into the new year ;-) My new year's celebrations were very conservative this time around, I had to work on New Years Eve and New Years Day. But that was ok, I ate wonderful food which my brother cooked and watched the show my fellow towns people put on at midnight. One of my cats did however manage to get outside right before midnight on New Years Eve and I was worried sick but he showed up rather scared and a little frazzled at around 1 am. I was just glad to see him safe and sound :-)

I'm not going to post any goals for the new year and there is no review of goals.. I just plan to enjoy my stitching time this year and show off the results on this blog as I've done till now. I have been giving the Winter Queen a little love and affection the last couple of days and she's growing a little bit. As soon as I think there is enough progress I'll post a pic.

There is talk of a SAL in my stitching group, Allt í Kross, and I'm going to participate. Well, I did come up with the idea, so of course I'll join ;-) We are going to stitch up the 12 Blessings of Christmas from Lizzie*Kate and because we are a diverse group of stitchers we are planning to do one a month, starting this january. I am not sure which one I'm starting with, but maybe I'll do Joy first. As with everything else, I'll post a pic as soon as I start and have something to show :-D

I've signed up for one exchange and I've already received my recipient's name and am busily looking for an appropriate design. This exchange is called Winter Wonderland and it's being organized on SBEBB. It's going to be fun, coz there is one requirement in this exchange. There has to be a snowman in the design.. We all know how much I like them ;-)

I was involved in two Christmas ornament exchanges this year, one was on SBEBB and the other was in Allt í Kross group. Rósa Tom was the one stitching an ornament for me in the latter exchange and she wrapped it up so I didn't open it till Christmas Eve. Here is a pic of the ornament she made me. Of course it had a snowman on it ;-)

Isn't it gorgeous? I love it. But Rósa Tom sent me another ornament made of felt. That was so cute too.

Sorry how blurry this one is. It was fine on the screen on the camera but on the computer screen, not so fine..

I feel so lucky and loved. Thank you Rósa Tom. I think I forgot to send you a thank you email, but be sure that I loved it and am proud to display them in my living room :-)

And just because there is an opportunity to show my cats, here is my oldest and wisest cat, Loftur. Isn't he handsome?

My camera got her batteries today and now I can share the beautiful ornament Satomi made me in the SBEBB Christmas Ornament Exchange.


Isn't it gorgeous? And here is another photo with all the goodies from the package she sent me. The fabric on the table is also from Satomi. Very pretty and festive :-)


My parter has also recieved her ornament, but I don't have a photo of it to share coz my camera was being diffcult to work with..

The postal system worked really hard this time and delivered the redwork exchange in excellent time from Iceland to Australia. I believe I sent it off on Sept. 11th and it arrived today in Tessa's mailbox :-D

I sent the bag out late mostly because I was so insecure in my sewing machine skills. I had decided that I was going to finish it as a bag and wanted to have lining in it but the problem was that I had never done anything like that before and wasn't sure how to do it. Around the same time I lost my summer job (that I was hoping would be extended) and had to find me another job for winter (hopefully for longer than that though ;-) ). That only added stress to the mix and a whole week passed where I was learning the ropes of my new job. In spite of everything I did manage to make the bag myself with no help (which I'm really proud of now but at the time I never thought I'd make it). In hindsight I really shouldn't have stressed myself out like I did seeing as I managed this task fine once I sat down and applied myself to it and concentrated on it. I guess I need to have more faith in my abilites!

It seems that Tessa likes her new bag and that makes me very happy. I'm hoping she enjoys her new bag and finds great uses for it, whatever they might be.

Now the details: I stitched an old Icelandic pattern and used Gloriana Silk called Poinsettia on Cashel linen. The color of the fabric was putty (I got it as a birthday present ;-) ). The pattern is the same one as Linda used on the biscornu she made me :-) We clearly both have good tastes! She's actually the one who gave me the pattern. She has a book with old Icelandic patterns that were found in old churches and in the homes of the wealthy. That's where this pattern comes from.

This is kinda funny, Linda was my secret partner in this exchange on Allt í Kross and I was hers!

Anywhoo, I got word that she received her biscornu today and I'm so happy she liked it. We were asked when we signed up for the exchange if we had any favorite colors and she said she liked all colors except for pastels. Then I thought I should use some strong colors and chose floss from Needle Necessities (I think it may have chosen me coz it came in the Monthly Bits last month and the same day I was wondering what colors I should use for Linda's biscornu). The floss color is Red Hat Lady or something like that and it's a gorgeous red/purple combination. It goes so well with the fabric that I chose, but that's a hand-dyed fabric from Silkweaver called Poltergeist. It's a kind of grey color but it has a slight hint of purple (to me at least) and therefor is gorgeous with the floss. I guess you guys should now get a chance to make up your own minds about that :-D

I am so over the moon with this exchange :-) My sender was Karoline in the UK and she made me a kind of pocket. I just love it and the way she finished it too.

Isn't it pretty! She also sent some prints of old samplers and they came in a kind of an envelope of their own. That's what the pocket is lying on. Next is a view inside the pocket:

As you can see Karoline included more gifts. Inside the pocket was a Friendship T-bag and a GAST thread, such a pretty red color. And she charted our names and year on here too. I love this idea :-D Well she didn't leave the back out, there was a little motif there too..

I participated in a Biscornu pillow exchange in the same club as the Round Robin and today I received a biscornu in the mail that Linda (listmum) stitched for me. Not only did she send a gorgeous biscornu, she also included a beautiful fabric and a WDW thread, a beautiful blue color. I'm in awe coz she recently sent me a very generous birthday gift and that was overwhelming and now she has also sent me gifts with the biscornu pillow.. I'm speechless and so thankful :-) I love the way she stitched the pillow and put it together. Simply a gorgeous Biscornu.

Jæja, ég hef nú verið að sauma stykkið fyrir Redwork skiptin undanfarin kvöld og náði að klára núna. Mikið rosalega er ég skotin í þessu :-D Flottur litur líka.. En þið verðið að bíða smá með að fá mynd, ég sendi þetta ekki fyrr en í byrjun september sko til eigandans..

Á morgun ætla ég að finna efni til að klára þetta stykki og nota eflaust helgina í það. Ég er að vinna á laugardag en ég hef sunnudaginn til að klárast. Svo er næst á dagskrá Biscornu. Og auðvitað RRinn hennar Eddu :-) Þetta er allt með sendingardag í byrjun september og ég er að verða pínu stressuð. En þetta blessast allt! Ég hef mikla trú á því :-)

Redwork

Well, I've been doing the stitching for the Redwork Exchange on SBEBB these last few nights and managed to finish tonight. I'm very taken with this design and the way it turns out :-D And the color is pretty hot too.. But I'm afraid you guys have to wait a little for a pic since this exchange won't be sent off till Sept. 4th (my moms birthday!)..

Tomorrow I'm going to find a fabric to finish this piece and I'll probably use the weekend for that. I am working on saturday but have sunday for finishing stuff. And next up is the Biscornu for the Icelandic exchange and of course there is Edda's RR piece :-) This all has a deadline for the beginning of september and I'm starting to feel a little stressed out. But I'm confident things will be ok! I'm a believer :-)

Ég fékk voða fínan pakka í dag frá Ástralíu. Póstkonan kom meira að segja með pakkann bara heim til mín, frábær þjónusta :-) Í pakkanum var Biscornu púði sem Cathy saumaði handa mér. Ég á ekki til orð, mér finnst hann svo flottur, og þar sem hún saumaði fram og bakhliðina saman setti hún perlur og það kemur svo flott út! Algert æði bara. Svo sendi hún útsaumsgarn með, annað sem er handlitað af ástralskri konu sem heitir Melanie og hitt er Silk N' Colors, algert æði. Og eins og það væri ekki nóg sendi hún líka með efni frá Kiwi Illusions og litla prjóna sem ég ætla að gera eitthvað flott við :-)

Og sjáiði kortið sem hún sendi með. Ég gat ekki annað en hlegið þegar ég sá kisuna reyna að opna hurðina.. Alveg frábært kort :-D Ég er alveg í skýjunum með þessi skipti :-)

Biscornu from Cathy

I got this amazing package from Australia in the mail today. The postlady brought it right up to my doorstep, really nice service :-) In the package there was my Biscornu that Cathy made me. I'm speechless, it's so pretty. She stitched it together with beads in the seam and it's so eye-catching, I don't know if you can see it in the pic. It's simply gorgeous. And she didn't stop there, she also sent some fibers and fabric from Kiwi Illusions called Wintergreen. The blue floss is hand-dyed by Melanie and the other one is Silk N' Colors called Mauveberry. Amazing colors. She also sent pins, like the other stuff wasn't enough :-D

And look at the card she included. I love it, I laughed when I saw the kitty trying to open the door.. I love the card :-D I'm so happy with this exchange it's not even funny :-)

Jenna er búin að fá Biscornu púðana sem ég gerði handa henni og sendi til hennar í seinustu viku :-) Ég er yfirmáta ánægð að hún skuli vera ánægð með þá af því ég var soldið óánægð með útkomuna eins og ég hef sagt áður. Annar var alltof stór og hinn var alltof lítill :-D En ég var ánægð með munstrin, bara sá stóri var allt of stór að mínu mati. Sá litli var með Indigo Rose munstri sem heitir Four Little Hearts og ég hef séð að fleiri notuðu það í þessum skiptum en þeir púðar voru flestir með border utan með þessu munstri sem gerir þá púða aðeins stærri. Bara að ég hefði haft vit á því líka :-D

Í öðrum fréttum þá er ég loksins komin úr saumalægðinni, ekki að fullu samt, en þetta er allt í áttina. Ég er byrjuð á vöggusetti handa frænda mínum sem er að fara að eignast sitt fyrsta barn í haust og svo skráði ég mig í RR í Allt í Kross grúppunni og er á fullu að klára minn ferning af því ég sendi hann af stað þann 1. júní til næstu skvísu á listanum. Ég er ca. 35% búin með hann.

Biscornu exchange

Jenna has received the package I sent her last week :-) I'm just so happy she likes the biscornus I made her. Like I said in my letter to her I wasn't happy with the first biscornu coz it was too big in my opinion, even if I did like the design, and the second one (with the Indigo Rose design Four Little Hearts on both sides) was too small. I've seen others have used that design in this exchange and they've all stitched a border outside the design. I just wish I had thought of that too :-D

In other news I've finally beaten my stitching slump, not quite at a 100% yet though, but it's all in the right direction. I started a crib set for my uncle's firstborn baby that's due in the fall and I also signed up for an RR in Allt í Kross group. I'm busy finishing off my square because it's to be sent off on the first of June. I'm about 35% finished with that.

I got this adorable little wall hanging from Nancy :-) It was my win in the Lottery Exchange on the SBEBB and it's just so cute :-) I love the cup and the cloud pattern on it. Very pretty. Nancy also sent me some tea and a skein of limited edition Stranded by the Sea floss. Very pretty pinkish color. I've been spoilt :-D

Konan sem ég saumaði nálarúllu fyrir í nálarúlluskiptunum á EMS síðunni er búin að fá hana og mikið rosalega er ég fegin því að henni líkaði það sem ég gerði handa henni.

Ég saumaði nálarúllu frá Lavender Wings en munstrið heitir Planted Hearts. Ég valdi að sauma hana á handlitað efni frá Silkweaver sem ég átti (enda átti ég ekki það sem var tiltekið í munstrinu) og mér fannst passa vel við. Sá litur sem ég valdi heitir Carol's Meadow og er virkilega fallega ljósgrænn. Ég var voðalega sátt við útkomuna enda var mjög erfitt að skilja við gripinn þegar kom að því að senda rúlluna til eiganda síns :-)

Talandi um Silkweaver þá fékk ég loksins desember pakkann í FOTM klúbbnum sem ég er í í dag.. Betra seint en aldrei, ekki satt :-D Efnin voru öll glitrandi (opalescent) og virkilega falleg. Þetta voru 32ct Lugana Ice Blue, 32ct Lugana Porcelain og 28ct Jazlyn Iris Garden.

EMS Needleroll Exchange

The lady I stitched a needleroll for in the exchange I took part in on the EMS board has informed me that she's received it and I'm so glad that she said she liked it :-)

I made a needleroll from Lavender Wings but the pattern is called Planted Hearts. I chose to stitch it on a handdyed jobelan from Silkweaver that I had (I didn't have the color that the pattern called for anyway) and I felt would work for this particular design. The color I chose is called Carol's Meadow and it's a really pretty light green. I was really happy with the resulting needleroll and it was really hard to part with it when it came time for sending it off to it's owner :-)

Speaking of Silkweaver, I finally got the december package in my FOTM club. Better late then never, I guess :-D The fabrics I got were all opalescent and so pretty. They were 32ct Lugana Ice Blue, 32ct Lugana Porcelain and 28ct Jazlyn Iris Garden.

Ég gleymdi að segja frá því í gær að pöntunin mín með dótinu fyrir nálarúlluskiptin á EMS kom í gær (og innihélt aðeins meira en bara það sem vantaði fyrir nálarúlluna :-D). Þess vegna byrjaði ég í dag á þessari margumtöluðu nálarúllu í dag og gekk alveg prýðilega. Ef tekið er með í reikninginn að ég þreif líka í dag (eldhúsið og baðherbergið) og bakaði jógúrtbollur þá stóð ég mig bara vel í dag!

En ef þið viljið vita smáatriðin fyrir blessaða nálarúlluna, þá er ég að sauma hana í handlitað efni frá Silkweaver (elska þennan lit, svo fallegur) með DMC garni og Mill Hill perlum.. Ég hlakka þvílíkt til að geta sýnt ykkur mynd :-D En það gerist ekki núna þar sem ég hef ekki hugmynd hvort manneskjan sem á að fá hana les þetta blogg eður ei. En mikið rosalega er gaman að sauma þetta munstur sem ég valdi, þetta verður geggjað! Sem þýðir bara að ég þarf að panta meira af þessum lit frá Silkweaver og gera eina handa sjálfri mér :-D

Needleroll Exchange

I forgot to post yesterday about the fact that I received my order with the stuff I needed for the needleroll exchange on EMS (which included more than just the missing things for the needleroll :-D) Therefor I started stitching the aforementioned needleroll today and did very well. If you take into account that I cleaned my kitchen and the bathroom today also and made some yoghurt muffins too, today was a big success!

But if you want to know the details of my needleroll project, I'll tell you that I'm doing it on some hand-dyed fabric from Silkweaver (such a beautiful color, I love it) with DMC floss and Mill Hill beads.. I can't wait to be able to show you guys a pic of it :-D But that's not gonna happen now coz I don't know if the person who I'm stitching this for reads this blog or not. But it's such a delight to stitch this design I chose, it's gonna be wild! Which means I need to order some more of that fabric I chose from Silkweavers and do one for myself :-D

Ok, I'm blogging from Photobucket coz Blogger isn't really co-operating right now. I've been waiting for ages to be able to post this picture and Blogger just times out on me. Very frustrating! But I've seen that Linda has been able to post using Photobucket so here's my first try at that :-)

I wasn't really expecting a needleroll to arrive so soon in this exchange but my partner mailed it out as soon as the names had been mailed out so I'm fortunate enough to be the first to receive her gift :-D Isn't it pretty?

My gifter's EMS name is Owl and she's from Russia (like I said in the title :-D) and the pattern is a traditional russian pattern and it's so pretty and well done. I love everything about this needleroll and to think this is a first effort at making a needleroll! Owl said she'd never made one before... I would've thought she'd done this before.. She was really kind and also sent me a small cross stitch kit with a kitty in a tree :-) It's a DMC Russia kit and very nice. And to think that I haven't even started my needleroll for this exchange!

Well, I have chosen a design and the fabric for it. I did have to order some stuff so that's on it's way (hopefully I'll get it soon after the weekend) and then I can start stitching.

Og ekkert smá flott gjöf! Christine Doyle var sú sem sendi mér, og hún bjó til rosalega sætan poka úr flaueli og mikið rosalega er þetta mjúkt og æðislegt! Ég er svo skotin í myndinni sem hún saumaði líka. Ég á eflaust aldrei eftir að tíma að nota þetta því þetta er svo mjúkt og sætt og ég vil ekki skemma neitt.

Hún sendi líka hjarta sem ég ætla sennilega að láta hanga inn í eldhúsi. Það er voðalega góð lykt af því en lyktin minnir mig pínu á jólin af því mamma var vön að baka sýrópskökur sem eru með nákvæmlega sömu lykt :-D Svo sendi hún líka hjartalaga límmiða. Voða sæta :-)

Já, þetta var sko ekki eina sem kom til mín í póstinum í dag! Ég fékk líka pöntunina frá Superbowl útsölunni hjá Silver Needle en ég varð fyrir smá vonbrigðum, ég nefnilega fékk bara þrennt af því sem ég pantaði :-( En ég fékk þó Snjókalla-nálarúlluna :-D Það hefði verið hræðilegt að fá það ekki. Mestur hluti pöntunarinnar er það sem Abba pantaði :-D Hún kannski sýnir ykkur hvað hún fékk í kvöld, hún er nefnilega að vinna núna :-)

My Valentine's exchange has come home to me :-)

And it's such a nice gift! Christine Doyle was my gifter and she made this awesomly cute bag made of velvet and it's so soft and wonderful! I like the design she chose very much. I will probably never use this bag coz it's so soft and fluffy and nice and I don't want to ruin it.

She also sent a smelly craft heart (her words :-D) that I'm probably gonna have hanging in the kitchen. It's smells so nice, it's like christmas though coz my mom used to make cookies that smelled like that :-D I also got some cute heart stickers. Very cute :-)

Well, that wasn't the only thing in the mail for me today! I also got my order from Silver Needle's Superbowl Sale. I did get a little disappointed coz I only got three of the things I ordered :-( But I did get my Snowfall Needleroll :-D It would've been horrible not to get that one. Most of the package belongs to my friend, Abba :-D Maybe she's going to show off her stuff tonight, she's working right now :-)

Ég skráði mig í Lottó skipti á SBEBB fyrir löngu síðan og var búin að sauma mynd sem ég ætlaði að klára í eitthvað en ég vissi aldrei alveg hvað ég ætlaði að búa til úr því.. En þar sem fresturinn til að taka þátt er að renna út varð ég að fara að koma þessu frá mér og ég ákvað að búa til púða til að festa við skærin, svokallað scissor fob. Ég veit ekki hvað þetta heitir á íslensku en ég sem sagt kláraði mitt fyrsta svona stykki í dag :-D

Ég byrjaði á því að gera afturstinginn í kringum myndina, svo saumaði ég miðjuna saman að aftan og þá var komið að því að nota afturstinginn sem ég var búin að hafa svo mikið fyrir. Ég notaði bara DMC 898 til að festa perlurnar á en það var liturinn sem ég notaði í afturstinginn. Um leið og ég setti perlurnar á lokaði ég götunum og þegar ég var næstum búin með seinna gatið fyllti ég púðann af hrísgrjónum. Svo lokaði ég og kláraði að setja perlurnar á og faldi þráðinn :-) Þetta var svo lítið mál að ég skammast mín fyrir að hafa ekki gert þetta fyrr!

Þessi mynd var freebie frá Full Circle Designs og ég saumaði hana í óþekkt evenweave sem ég fékk frá Silkweaver Grab bag. Ég notaði DMC garn og perlurnar eru frá Mill Hill, litirnir heita Frosted Heather Mauve og Dark Basil. Ég notaði DMC garn til að gera cording band til að henga fobið á skærin og valdi svo perlurnar úr saumadótinu mínu til að passa við það.

My Lottery piece!

I signed up for the Lottery Exchange on SBEBB ages ago and even finished the stitching part in January but I wasn't quite sure what to finish it into. Because the deadline is fast approaching I decided to make a scissor fob. I'm not sure of the name of it in Icelandic but nevertheless I finished my first one today :-D

I started with the backstitching around the design, then I sewed the middle together at the back and then it was time to use the backstitching I'd had stitched before. I used DMC 898 for that as well as adding the beads. At the same time as I was adding the beads I closed up the gaps and when I was almost done with the second one I filled the fob with rice. Then I closed it and finished the beading and hid the thread :-) It was so easy I'm embarrassed I didn't do this earlier!

This was a freebie from Full Circle Designs and I stitched it on a mystery piece of evenweave I got from a grab bag at Silkweaver's. I used DMC threads and the beads are from Mill Hill, one is frosted heather mauve and the other is dark basil. I made the cording hanger with DMC I used in the design and the beads I chose from my stash to match the hanger.

Viðtakandi kortsins míns fékk kortið sitt fyrir helgi þannig að ég get sýnt blessað kortið hér. Ég fékk kortið sjálft í skiptum í fyrra frá Harsha :-D Ég held að þetta kort og myndin passi bara vel saman.

Svo fattaði ég að ég er ekkert búin að sýna blessað kortið sem ég fékk :-) Það fékk ég frá ungri stúlku í Bretlandi en kortið er svakalega sætt :-) Ég elska túlipanana og vasann.

Card exchange

The card I made has reached it's owner and now I can safely post a pic. I got the card itself in an exchange last year (my gifter was Harsha :-D) I really liked the card and I think it looks good with this design.

I realized that I haven't showed the card I got in the last part of the card exchange so I post a pic of that as well. I got it from a girl in Britain. I love the vase and the flowers. So cute.

Ég var að frétta að Outi væri búin að fá kortið sem ég saumaði handa henni í kortaskiptunum sem ég er að taka þátt í. Ég var mjög ánægð að fá nafnið hennar því ég hef lesið bloggið hennar í soldinn tíma og held að ég hafi náð hvernig smekk hún hefur. Hún virðist a.m.k. ánægð með kortið :-)

Ég setti svo nokkrar tölur (buttons) á kortið eftir að ég tók þessa mynd, til að aðeins gera það jólalegra :-)

Svo fékk ég í gær kort frá konunni sem saumaði handa mér og það er þvílíkt flott. Með því fylgdi smá jólaskraut sem ég er þegar búin að setja á litla jólatréð mitt :-) Það var með Pooh og Piglet. Ég hef sko alltaf verið mjög hrifin af honum Piglet.

Konan heitir Barbara og er frá Ítalíu sem saumaði þetta fallega kort handa mér. Hún sendi líka rosalega sætt kort þar sem hún sagðist hafa haft gaman af að sauma handa mér kortið :-) Mjög indæl kona.

Svo svona til að toppa þessa færslu þá er mynd af kortinu sem ég fékk í fyrsta hluta kortaskiptanna en það var haustþema í það skiptið.

Allt í allt, bara fín kortaskipti :-)

Card Exchange

I just got an email from Outi saying she received the card I stitched for her in a card exchange we're both in. I'm thrilled coz it seems she liked the design I chose and the things I sent along with it :-) The card I sent Outi is in the top pic.

I also received my card yesterday and it has the cutest santa on the front. I love him, he's so wise and kind in this design. The lady that stitched him for me is Italian and I have no idea if she has a blog or not. She also sent along two adorable little plastic ornaments with Pooh and Piglet. I've always been fond of Piglet so that was a big hit with me :-)

And the mushroom card pictured is from the first round of this exchange and that round had a fall/halloween theme to it. I forgot to take a pic of the one I sent out :-(
